My first experience with special effects was in 6th grade when I smeared Playdough on my arm, put a little slice in it, folded up a piece of tape to look like glass, and added that and some food coloring in to act as blood. It didn’t look great, but it sparked a lifelong passion for unconventional art. I soon acquired my own little kit and I was using scar wax and liquid latex to create litttle wounds and monster makeup.
